Thank you for the honor of posting my letter on your sites, however, I do not wish anyone to think I would claim glory that is not mine and need to clear something up- I am indeed a veteran military officer, forever bound by my oath to protect and defend the Constitution, but I am not here as a Soldier. I am here only as a civilian advisor, and the fighting I do is from behind a desk.
In light of this, I am sending the following to the City of Clearwater:
"It comes to mind that there is bound to be an opening in the local government soon. I have a degree in Political Science/ Public Service that I have not had the opportunity to use at that level. Although I lack experience in the political arena, there is only one way to gain it, and I am willing to throw my name in the hat in order to start righting the wrongs that are being done to the American people. I see a problem that needs fixed, and if the only thing I accomplish is seeing the Constitution upheld, I would consider it a success.
I believe that the only way to change something is to do something.

I promise, that if I am able to attain any level of influence in government, I will keep a copy of the Constitution at my desk and fight to have any law repealed that infringes on citizens' protected rights, and fight to prevent the passage of any further such laws. I am tired of sitting on the sidelines and having my letters about protecting the Constitution ignored by government officials and Congressmen who believe it is ok to trample on our rights. It's time to dive in and change some things. I hope I have your support.
